Haas have unveiled their new livery for VF-23 car for 2023 F1 season.
Having finished eighth last season in the constructors’ standings with 37 points and claimed a shock pole position with Kevin Magnussen for the Sao Paulo Sprint, Haas will be hoping for better results in 2023 with their new VF-23 car.
This season will also see a change of driver because Mick Schumacher has been dropped in favour of his fellow German compatriot and more experienced Nico Hulkenberg, who returns to F1 as a full-time driver after three seasons as reserve driver at Aston Martin.
Hulkenberg will partner Magnussen who has been retained by the American constructor, having unexpectedly returned to the team last season after Nikita Mazepin was axed in pre-season following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“I obviously share everyone’s enthusiasm around the livery unveil, not least as it’s a checkpoint in the pre-season calendar which means we’re another step closer to doing the thing we actually want to be doing – and that’s go racing,” commented Team Principal, Guenther Steiner.
Steiner added that this new livery is “more elevated and modernized” as the team prepares for a new era with MoneyGram as their new title partner, after dropping Uralkali in 2022 pre-season in wake of Russia’s invasion on Ukraine.
On their ambitions for this season, Steiner coyily said: “We really have something to build on following last year’s performances.”
Haas are the first team to unveil their new livery and will conduct a shakedown at Silverstone on Saturday 11 February, ahead of pre-season testing in Bahrain between 23-25 Feburary.
