2022-23 Premier League: Week 18 – Leicester vs Fulham

Leicester City host Fulham at the King Power Stadium in a mid-table Premier League encounter.

Victory would see Leicester stay 13th in the table and move six points clear of the relegation zone, whilst Fulham will stay seventh with a win.

Patson Daka is set to be ruled out for Leicester after he suffered a hamstring injury during their defeat at Liverpool.

James Justin, Ricardo Pereira (both Achilles), Jonny Evans (calf), Dennis Praet (hip), James Maddison and Ryan Bertrand (both knee) remain absent.

Fulham could welcome Layvin Kurzawa back into contention after he missed their last two games with a knock.

Neeskens Kebano (Achilles) and Manor Solomon (knee) both remain absent.

Prediction

After their Boxing Day humilation against Newcastle, Leicester certainly can be happy with how they bounced back at Liverpool with a strong counter-attack strategy, yet two poor own goals from Wout Faes cost them but the rest of the team nevertheless played well despite wasted chances.

Fulham meanwhile were excellent against Southampton amidst wasteful finishing but were definitely made to work for the win, whilst continuing to outperform expectations so I expect them to come here and really take the fight to the Foxes.

I am therefore slightly unsure as to how this match could play out because both teams have been in decent form, although Leicester defensively have slipped in their last two games which could well be the difference if there is a winner.

Prediction: Leicester 1-1 Fulham

Result: Leicester 0-1 Fulham
