West Brom moved two points clear of the relegation zone with a comeback 2-1 win at Sunderland in Monday Night Football, courtesy of Daryl Dike’s late winner after Tom Rogic had cancelled out Amad Diallo’s 19th minute opening goal.
Elsewhere, Rob Edwards endured a disappointing debut as Luton manager after the Hatters blew a 1-0 lead at Middlesbrough, as Matt Crooks struck an injury-time winner after Amari’i Bell was red carded for the visitors following Chuba Akpom’s equaliser to cancel out Jordan Clark’s opener.
Joe Williams and Cameron Pring fired Bristol City to a 3-1 away win at Rotherham United, having seen their early lead from Wes Harding’s own goal cancelled out by Chiedozie Ogbene.
Callum Robinson’s second-half goal saw Cardiff snatch a 2-2 draw at Stoke after Ryan Wintle’s sixth-minute goal was cancelled out by goals from Tyrese Campbell and Liam Delap.
Finally, Amadou Mbengue nodded in his first senior goal to gift Reading a 57th minute winner against Coventry.
