Roundup of social media celebrations to ex Lioness, Jill Scott claiming an ‘amazing triumph’ as Queen of Jungle on I am Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Just months after retiring from football following England’s success at UEFA Women’s Euro 2022, Scott entered I am Celeb and proceeded to successfully participate in six bushtucker trials whilst winning over the hearts of the nation with her North-Eastern humour and team spirit.

Scott eventually defeated Hollyoaks star, Owen Warner, plus ex Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, to be crowned Queen of the Jungle after over “12 million votes” were cast since the final vote commenced on Saturday (26 November).

Upon confirmation of the 35 year-old’s success, tributes quickly swept in from the footballing world on social media, as Barclays Women’s Super League urged fans to ‘ALL HAIL QUEEN Jill’ in a celebratory tweet.

England meanwhile sent their own message of support to their second most-capped Lioness following her success in the Jungle.

England Lionesses described Scott’s Women’s Euro and I am Celeb triumphs in the same calendar year as just typical of the ex Man City player.

Several of Scott’s former teammates at club and international level quickly followed with their own celebratory tributes to her, led by ex Man City teammate, Ellie Roebuck and Scott’s fellow North-East player, Beth Mead.

Man City and England star, Lauren Hemp meanwhile issed a personal tribute on Twitter as she described Scott as “Honestly one of the best people you’d ever get to meet…” in life.

England’s most capped Lioness, Fara Williams meanwhile insisted that the win was “Never in doubt..” just like Good Morning Britain host, Ed Balls had predicted following the opening bushtucker trial in which Scott casually tackled ‘The Ledge’ along with ITV News presenter, Charlene White.

Arsenal and England defender, Lotte Wubben Moy meanwhile seemed to be just relieved at the fact that Scott beat Hancock in the vote.

Scott’s success however ventured beyond just the footballing world as actor, Joe McFadden iterated that her triumph had ensured the re-installation of “sanity” within the world, amidst controversy surrounding Hanock opting to do the show as a sitting Member of Parliament.

TV Presenter, Dan Walker went on to lead wider tributes from beyond football as he praised her caring attitude for her fellow campmates, whilst musician – Tom Grennan was amongst other celebrities celebrating Jill’s latest success.

Journalist and fellow Mackem, Kevin Maguire was delighted by Scott’s triumph despite finding time to take a swipe at Hanock.

Even Hollyoaks couldn’t help but enjoy Scott’s victory despite beating their star, Warner, to the title in the final two.

BBC Sport reporter, Emma Saunders meanwhile has called for Scott to attempt Celebrity Masterchef next.

Finally, Sunderland AFC Women hailed Scott as ‘One of our own’ as they praised her for doing the city proud in the jungle.
