Burnley remain top of Sky Bet Championship following a busy matchweek as teams continue to scrap for position ahead of mid-season break.

Anass Zaroury struck an injury-time winner to ensure Burnley remain top with a comeback 2-1 home win over Reading, as Manuel Benson’s 66th minute strike cancelled out Tom Ince’s opener.

Sammie Szmodics’ 15th minute strike fired Blackburn Rovers up to second in a scrappy 1-0 away win at Hull City.

QPR slipped to third after falling to a shock 2-0 defeat at Birmingham City in Friday Night Football thanks to goals from players on loan from their London rivals, as Arsenal’s Auston Trusty and West Ham’s Manny Longelo scored for the hosts.

First-half goals from Iliman Ndiaye and Oli McBurnie saw Sheffield United comfortably dispatch West Brom to stay fourth.

Aaron Ramsey’s brace plus Gabriel Sara’s effort fired Norwich up to fifth in a 3-1 home win over Stoke City at Carrow Road.

Swansea round out the top six after Olivier Ntcham cancelled out Tommy Conway’s first-half strike in a 1-1 draw away at Bristol City.

Down in the relegation zone, Huddersfield moved off the foot of the table with a ninth-minute winner from Yuta Nakayama to defeat Millwall, which in-turn dropped West Brom to the base of the table.

Coventry remain third-bottom after their four-match unbeaten run was ended in a 2-1 home defeat to Blackpool, having led through Kasey Palmer’s 40th minute goal only for Gary Madine and Jerry Yates to score in a comeback away win for the Tangerines.

Middlesbrough’s first match under new manager – Michael Carrick ended in a 2-1 defeat at Preston, after Emil Riis Jakobsen and Jordan Storey scored comeback goals for the Lancashire club after Chuba Akpom had put Boro ahead.

Elsewhere, Joao Pedro headed in a 87th minute winner as Watford scraped a narrow away victory at Wigan to clinch consecutive wins for the first time under Slaven Bilic.

Elliot Embleton cancelled out Carlton Morris’ opener as Sunderland fought back to claim a 1-1 draw at Luton.

Finally, Jaden Philogene-Bidace’s 65th minute strike saw Cardiff snatch a 1-0 home win over a lacklustre Rotherham.
