Arsenal and Chelsea have discovered their opposition in the Group Stage of 2022-23 UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Reigning Women’s Super League (WSL) champions, Chelsea have been handed a group of death – having been drawn into Group A alongside PSG, Real Madrid and Alabnia’s KFF Vilaznia,.
This tough draw comes as Emma Hayes’ Blues look to avenge last season’s Group Stage exit, having previously finished runners-up in 2020-21 edition to eventual champions – Barcelona.
Current WSL leaders, Arsenal meanwhile have also been placed in a difficult group in their bid to reach the Quarter-Finals for a second consecutive season, as Jonas Eidevall’s Gunners will face reigning champions – Lyon plus Juventus and Zurich in Group C.
Elsewhere, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have been drawn together – just like in this season’s male edition of Champions League – after the pair were placed in Group D alongside FC Rosengard and Benfica, of which the latter qualified after beating Rangers in the Qualifying play-offs.
Two-time champions, VfL Wolfsburg will compete against Slavia Prague, St. Polten and AS Roma in Group B.
