
West Ham, Hearts and Shamrock Rovers have discovered their opposition in Group Stage of 2022-23 UEFA Europa League.
West Ham’s reward for defeating Viborg in their play-off tie is a place in Group B where they will take on Romania’s FCSB, Anderlecht and Silkeborg.
Scotland’s Heart of Midlothian (better known shortened as Hearts) meanwhile drop into this competition after losing their UEFA Europa League Play-Off against Zurich, with the Scottish team drawn in Group A alongside Istanbul Basaksehir, Fiorentina and RFS who beat Linfield in their play-off.
Ireland’s Shamrock Rovers will compete in Group F alongside Gent, Molde and Djurgardens IF, after dropping into this competition following their Europa League play-off loss to Ferencvaros.
Ex Premier League manager – Unai Emery will see his Villarreal team face Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Austria Wien and Lech Poznan in Group C.
Emery’s former signing at Arsenal – Nicholas Pepe recently completed a season-long loan to Nice with the French team set to face Partizan Belgrade, Cologne and Slovacko in Group D.
Netherlands’ AZ Alkmaar who are playing in this competition for a second consecutive season are in Group E, where they will take on Apollon Limassol, Vaduz and Dnipro-1 for a knockout spot.
In a change to usual Group Stage scheduling due to 2022 FIFA World Cup taking place across November-December, this season’s six group matchdays will be played in three pairs of consecutive matchweeks across following dates;
