BBC have confirmed their coverage plans for the knockout stages of 2022 UEFA Women’s Euro between 20 – 31 July.
Coverage of the Quarter-Finals will get underway on Wednesday 20 July as tournament hosts, England host Spain at the AMEX Stadium, Brighton, in a 8pm BST kick-off live on BBC One with build-up getting underway from 7:30pm that evening.
England qualified as Group A winners after scoring 14 goals in total without conceding against Austria, Norway and Northern Ireland, whilst Spain scraped through as Group B runners-up ahead of 2017 finalists – Denmark with a late winner in their crunch final group match.
BBC One will then broadcast Germany’s Quarter-Final tie against Austria 24 hours later on Thursday 21 July, as the action moves to Brentford Community Stadium, Brentford, London, with the Germans looking to avoid a shock exit against a team looking for a second consecutive semi-final appearance.
Sweden’s reward for topping Group C is a Quarter-Final encounter against Iceland/Belgium/Italy live on BBC Two on Friday 22 July, with kick-off at 8pm at Leigh Sports Village, Leigh, as the winner of that tie will meet England or Spain in the opening semi-final on 26 July.
The Quarter-Finals stage reaches its conclusion live on BBC One on Saturday 23 July as Group D winners, France meet defending champions – Netherlands at New York Stadium, Rotherham, in a blockbuster clash between two title favourites with kick-off at 8pm BST.
Whoever wins that clash between France and Netherlands will then meet Germany or Austria in the second semi-final on 27 July.
Both semi-finals will be broadcast live on BBC One across Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 July, with kick-off of both matches set for 8pm BST at Bramall Lane, Sheffield, and Stadium MK, Milton Keynes respectively.
BBC will also transmit the 2022 UEFA Women’s Euro Final live from Wembley Stadium on BBC One on Sunday 31 July, with kick-off of the showpiece title deciding match confirmed for 5pm BST.
