English Football League officials have confirmed the 2021-22 play-off dates across Championship, League One and League Two.
Due to League One finishing their regular season a week earlier on Saturday 30 April simultaneously in 12:30pm BST kick-offs, their play-off semi-finals and Final will be held first ahead of Championship and League Two play-offs as third-tier clubs chase promotion to the Championship.
The first semi-final in League One will take place on Thursday 5 May at 7:45pm BST with the sixth-placed team hosting the third-placed team, with the second leg of that tie set for Sunday 8 May at 6:30pm.
The first leg of the second semi-final involving the fifth and fourth-placed teams will be held on Friday 6 May at 7:45pm, with the return leg scheduled for Monday 9 May exactly 72 hours after the first leg kick-off.
Wembley Stadium will then host the League One Final on Saturday 21 May at 3:00pm due to there being no Bank Holiday Monday on 30 May, following the movement of the Bank Holiday to 2 June as part of the Platinum Jubilee weekend.
Championship clubs will finish their regular season on Saturday 7 May with all 12 ties kicking off at 12:30pm, with the first leg of the opening semi-final scheduled for Friday 13 May between sixth and third-placed teams with the second leg following on Monday 16 May as both legs kick off at 7:45pm.
The fifth and fourth-placed teams involved in the second Championship play-off semi-final will play their first leg on Saturday 14 May at 3pm, with the return leg scheduled for Tuesday 17 May at 7:45pm.
Both winners of the semi-final will then meet at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 29 May to decide the final team to secure promotion to the Premier League, with kick-off confirmed for 4:30pm.
The final day of the League Two regular season will take place on Saturday 7 May at 3pm.
League Two semi-finals will kick off with the seventh-placed team hosting the fourth-placed team in Saturday Night Football on Saturday 14 May, with the fixture confirmed for a 7:45pm kick-off and the second leg will also commence at that time on Wednesday 18 May.
Whoever finishes sixth and fifth respectively will meet in the other semi-final on Sunday 15 May at 12pm, with the second leg taking place at 7:45pm on Thursday 18 May.
