2021-22 Premier League: Week 30 – Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham

Tottenham Hotspur welcome West Ham to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a crunch Super Sunday clash.

Tottenham and West Ham currently enter this match locked on 48 points apiece with the Hammers ahead on goal difference, meaning that victory would lift either team up to fifth due to Manchester United not playing this weekend.

Tottenham have no fresh injury concerns to report as Oliver Skipp (groin) and Ryan Sessegnon (muscle) remain absent.

Japhet Tanganga (knee) is now ruled out for rest of this season,

West Ham also have no fresh injury concerns to report after Thursday’s Europa League win against Sevilla as Angelo Ogbonna (knee), Vladimir Coufal (hernia) and Jarrod Bowen (heel) remain absent.

Prediction

With three wins in their last four matches including a controlled win over a toothless Brighton in midweek, Tottenham come into this full of confidence because a win puts them right in the mix for a top-four finish which would be something after their inconsistent season.

West Ham meanwhile delivered a clinically controlled victory over Sevilla on Thursday which should give them huge confidence coming into this local derby, especially given how disciplined they were in dictating the tempo and dominant in attack despite needing extra-time.

I however am expecting a tough battle because a draw would put a dent in the top-four dreams of both teams so am anticipating an attack-minded contest, although Spurs should have the edge if fitness comes into play in the second half.

Prediction: Tottenham 2-1 West Ham

Result: Tottenham 3-1 West Ham
