Nottingham Forest welcome QPR to the City Ground in a crunch clash in the race for the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs.
Victory could see Nottingham Forest climb to seventh if Luton and Sheffield United both lose elsewhere, whereas QPR will reclaim fourth with a win.
Team News
Steve Cook is ruled out for Nottingham Forest after suffering an ankle injury in Saturday’s win over Reading.
Max Lowe (groin) and Lewis Grabban (ankle) remain ruled out
QPR will have Dion Sanderson available for selection after he completed a three-match ban.
Lyndon Dykes (hamstring), Jordan Archer (shoulder) and Seny Dieng (thigh) are ruled out.
Stat Attack
- Forest have lost just one of their last six meetings against QPR (W3, D2, L1).
- QPR have won just one of their last six visits to Forest’s City Ground (W1, D2, L2).
- QPR’s Lyndon Dykes has scored in his last three appearances against Forest.
- Forest have scored first in all five league matches played at home since the turn of 2022 (W4, D1).
- QPR have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 10 away matches in all competitions (W5, D1, L4).
Prediction
Having ruthlessly dismantled Reading on Saturday in a clinical display with four of five shots on target converted into goals, Forest definitely should be eager to continue their momentum here but I do wonder how their defence will cope without Cook’s presence and experience.
QPR meanwhile haven’t exactly been at their best on the road in recent weeks but delivered a solid performance against a more dominant Luton on Sunday, which paid off with two hard-fought goals in a comeback win.
Mark Warburton’s Hoops however need to ensure here that Sunday’s win wasn’t just an one-off given their recent form, yet I do expect goals given their poor away form defensively whereas Forest are full of confidence which could give them an edge if QPR aren’t at their best.
Prediction: Nottingham Forest 2-1 QPR
Result: Nottingham Forest 3-1 QPR
