Fulham welcome Huddersfield Town to Craven Cottage in a huge clash in the Sky Bet Championship.
Victory will see Fulham extend their lead over second-placed Bournemouth to nine points, whilst Huddersfield can go fourth for at least a few hours with a win.
Team News
Rodrigo Muniz is ruled out for Fulham after suffering a calf injury in their 1-0 win at Hull last weekend.
Kenny Tete (groin) is expected to be back in contention.
Huddersfield will be without Pipa due to a groin injury following the fullback’s recent return from a long-term injury.
Levi Colwill, Alex Vallejo (both knee), Rolando Aarons (leg) and Tino Anjorin (ankle) remain absent.
Stat Attack
- Fulham have lost just one of their last five meetings against Huddersfield (W4, L1).
- Huddersfield have claimed just two points from their last eight visits to Craven Cottage (D2, L6).
- Both teams have scored in each of their last three meetings, with Fulham winning all three matches whilst netting ten goals to Huddersfield’s four goals.
- Three of Fulham’s last four goals at home have been scored by Aleksandr Mitrovic.
- Huddersfield is looking to keep four straight clean sheets in the league for the first time since March-April 2000.
Prediction
With a fairly comfortable lead coming into this matchweek, Fulham have managed to reverse a defensive dip with two clean sheets this month so should be full of confidence here despite having to fight hard for their win at Hull last weekend.
Huddersfield however come into this match with three consecutive clean sheets and two consecutive goalless draws, so should hopefully be able to take the fight to Fulham but they can’t waste chances like they did last weekend against Sheffield United.
This fixture also has the habit of seeing goals so a goalless draw would be a slight surprise for Fulham at least, so I am expecting a decent battle with a potential score draw.
Prediction: Fulham 1-1 Huddersfield
Result: Fulham 1-2 Huddersfield
