Having dominated the 2021 Styrian Grand Prix last weekend, Red Bull and Max Verstappen will be looking for further success as Formula One stays at the Red Bull Ring for 2021 Austrian Grand Prix.
This is the second of two consecutive races at the Red Bull Ring for the second straight season as Verstappen enters this round looking to build on a 18 point lead over Lewis Hamilton in the title race.
Several teams meanwhile will be looking to build on lessons learned last weekend whilst Alpine hand Guanyu Zhou his F1 debut in FP1 in place of Alonso.

Five Key Pointers
- Mercedes will be focusing on working out where to extract further performance from their W12 after losing pace to Verstappen’s Red Bull throughout each lap.
- Alpine’s Esteban Ocon will be looking to try and work out where he lost pace throughout last weekend after finishing third in FP2.
- Having shown excellent race pace compared to their single lap pace, Ferrari face a dilemma as to try and find a way to improve their one lap performance without hurting their overall race pace.
- With warm temperatures forecast and possibility of showers which failed to materialise last weekend, expect another tense Qualifying if track evolution again ramps up throughout the session.
- Pirelli are bringing a softer tyre range this weekend with the C5 tyre compound in play which should hopefully create a two-stop strategy, particularly depending on tyre degradation and track temperature.
Last Time Out
Unlike 2020 when the Styrian GP took place after the Austrian GP, the latter now takes place after the former in 2021 with Valtteri Bottas entering this round as the defending Austrian GP winner after taking victory ahead of Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris.
