Sonny Bradley and Dan Potts Sign New Luton Contracts

Luton Town have announced that Sonny Bradley and Dan Potts have signed new contracts to commit their futures to the club.

Club captain, Bradley has signed on for a fourth season with the Hatters after producing three goals in 131 appearances across all competitions for Luton.

Bradley though is more excited to welcome fans back to Kenilworth Road, saying; “I said recently that I can’t wait to walk out at Kenilworth Road in front of fans again, because we all know that roof is going to come off.”

Having clinched promotion from League One in his first season at the club before surviving relegation in Summer 2020 as the Championship battle to avoid the drop went to the final day, Bradley captained Luton to a 12th placed finish this season following a strong campaign in which they initially challenged for promotion.

Reflecting on the progress made throughout his time at the club, Bradley commented; “We’ve come so far together and I feel that there is some unfinished business after what we’ve all been through over this past year and a bit.”

On being club captain after stepping up to the role midway through the 2018-19 campaign due to Alan Sheehan finding himself omitted from the team and Glen Rea suffering a season-ending injury, Bradley admitted that he felt ‘privileged’ to have been captain of the team and can’t wait to start next season.

Potts meanwhile is extending his stay at Kenilworth Road for a seventh consecutive season after netting 11 goals in 176 club appearances for the Hatters since joining in summer 2015 from West Ham.

The 27 year-old admitted that he felt ‘over the moon’ to have sorted out a new contract after helping the Hatters produce one of the biggest individual club improvements in the Championship last season

Speaking of Luton’s direction under Nathan Jones and their whole journey since he arrived in summer 2015, Potts admitted that he is intrigued by their future path, saying; ““I like where the club is going. I’ve been here a while now and have seen how well it’s progressed as a club. We’ve had some good times and long may that continue.”

Potts though added that Luton’s and his ambitions had ‘matched’ since he first arrived but he is keen to see the team ‘really push on’ following an excellent season and ‘build on it’ with supporters back at Kenilworth Road next season.
