Norwich City headlines the shortlists for 2020-21 EFL Awards with three nominations.

With 39 league goals and 20 assists between them as Norwich bounced back from relegation to clinch instant promotion back to the Premier League, Pukki and Buendia are nominated for the Championship Player of the Season.

Brentford’s Ivan Toney completes the three-man shortlist after producing 29 goals and 10 assists in 42 league appearances, having only joined Thomas Frank’s Bees last summer as a replacement following Ollie Watkins’ move to Aston Villa.

All three Young Player of the Season nominees also come from the Championship as Norwich’s Max Aarons leads the shortlist, which also contains Reading’s Michael Olise and Blackburn’s Harvey Elliot.

Down in League One, Hull’s George Honeyman will do battle with the division’s top two scorers in Jonson Clarke-Harris and Charlie Wyke for their Player of the Season Award.

Cambridge United meanwhile have two nominees in League Two’s Player of the Season category, as Paul Mullins and Wes Hoolahan join Forest Green Rovers’ Jamille Matt on the shortlist.

EFL also confirmed the following three Apprentice winners across the Championship, League One and League Two;

Championship – Will Trueman (Sheffield Wednesday)

League One – Lewis Johnson (MK Dons)

League Two – Felix Miles (Cheltenham Town)

Elsewhere, Sunderland, Blackburn, Port Vale, Portsmouth, Bristol Rovers and Watford are shortlisted for Community Club of the Year, recognising the work conducted by clubs within their local communities.

Players will also be recognised for their individual work within their club’s local communities, with Cardiff’s Will Vaulks up against Bristol Rovers’ Alex Rodman and Newport County’s Matty Dolan for the PFA Players in the Community Award.

Championship’s Jamal Lowe, Alex Mowatt and Frazier Campbell head up a five player shortlist for Goal of the Season, also containing Sunderland’s Grant Leadbitter and Bradford City’s Lee Novak.

Winners of all awards alongside the Sir Tom Finney, Contribution to League Football and Moment of the Year categories will be announced during the ceremony live on Sky Sports Football (7:30pm BST) on Thursday 29 April 2021.

That evening will also see the Team of the Year XIs unveiled across all three divisions following extensive voting by a panel made up of expert judges, who also decided on the final shortlists for all categories.
