Hal Robson-Kanu Amongst Four Returnees For Wales Squad

West Bromwich Albion’s Hal Robson-Kanu is amongst four returnees for Wales’ World Cup qualifiers later this month.

Dunfermline Athletic’s Owain Fon Williams drops out of the squad as Wayne Hennessey and Adam Davies return after missing November’s international fixtures through injury.

Up front, Robson-Kanu returns after missing October and November’s action with a broken arm suffered at Southampton in early October.

Caretaker manager, Rob Page has retained his entire defensive selection from November’s international window alongside with the core of midfield, as Bournemouth’s David Brooks is the only absence in midfield after being ruled out with an ongoing ankle injury and is replaced by Stoke’s Joe Allen.

Manager, Ryan Giggs remains absent as he deals with legal issues regarding allegations of assault which forced him to step down from November’s fixtures.

Wales kick off their bid to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday 24 March 2021 as they visit Belgium before hosting Czech Republic on Tuesday 30 March.

Page’s squad will meanwhile face Mexico in an international friendly on Saturday 27 March in Cardiff due to being placed in a five-team qualifying group, in order to allow space for Belgium’s participation in the UEFA Nations League Finals in autumn.
