Burnley welcome Brighton to Turf Moor in a huge Premier League clash in the fight for survival.
Victory could see Burnley leapfrog Brighton into 15th with a win as long as Newcastle don’t beat Southampton in Saturday’s other 3pm game, whereas the Seagulls could leapfrog Wolves into 14th with a win.

- Burnley have lost just one of their seven previous Premier League meetings against Brighton (W2, D4, L1).
- Brighton are unbeaten in four of their last five trips to Turf Moor (W1, D3, L1).
- Having drawn 0-0 at the Amex in November, another draw here would mark the second season in which both Premier League clashes finished goalless between these teams after 2017-18 season.
- No Burnley player has made more league appearances as a substitute than Matej Vydra this season, with the Czech Republic international being used from the bench on 10 occasions.
- Solly March has played more crosses than any other Brighton player this season, having produced 120 crosses in 21 league appearances.
Prediction
Burnley will be relieved to have got two tough teams cleared in the last week with just two goals conceded in each game, because they surely must view this as a winnable game if can get forward more whilst continuing their strong defensive efforts.
Brighton meanwhile come into this game off the back of two hard-working wins against top teams in Tottenham and Liverpool, so will fancy their chances of giving their survival hopes a major boost here with a win although they have to be wary because Burnley will also view this as a hugely winnable game.
Add in the fact that this fixture has often been closely fought then it will certainly take something special to separate both teams here, with a draw looking a fair result given the form of both clubs and current gap to the relegation zone.
Prediction: Burnley 1-1 Brighton
Result: Burnley 1-1 Brighton
