Leicester City welcome Arsenal to the King Power Stadium in the only all Premier League tie of this third round in 2020-21 Carabao Cup.
The winner of this tie faces a difficult trip to either Premier League champions, Liverpool or Lincoln City next week in Fourth Round.
Brendan Rogers will rotate his Leicester squad as Filip Benkovic and Jonny Evans near a return after respective hip and quad injuries, although the duo are unlikely to be risked in this match.
Ricardo Pereira remains absent with a knee injury.
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta is expected to rotate his squad as Kieran Tierney misses out with a muscle injury.
Pablo Mari is also absent with an ankle injury but the defensive duo are likely to be available to face Liverpool at Anfield on Monday.
Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring), Emile Smith Rowe (shoulder), Calum Chambers and Gabriel Martinelli (both knee) remain ruled out.
- This is the first single legged League Cup tie between Leicester and Arsenal, with both teams having won one match apiece from a pair of two legged ties.
- Leicester are unbeaten in two previous home League Cup ties against Arsenal (W1, D1), without keeping a clean sheet.
- Arsenal are unbeaten in five of their last six all Premier League ties in League Cup excluding penalty shootouts (W2, D2, L2).
Leicester have enjoyed a superb start to their season with seven goals scored and neat but strong pressing mixed with high energy play when in possession, yet I am expecting Arsenal to provide a tough test once they settle into this match and can begin to impose their game on the Foxes.
Arsenal however did go defensively AWOL with exception of Bernd Leno in goal against West Ham on Saturday and if that happens here, I expect Leicester to take full advantage because the Foxes were absolutely ruthless on Sunday when Burnley began to tire despite being just as bad themselves defensively.
Either way, this is going to be a tough encounter between two teams expected to mount deep cup runs as well as push for a top four league finish, and if Rogers keep his Foxes changes to a minimum then I can see a home win.
Prediction: Leicester City 2-1 Arsenal
Result: Leicester City 0-2 Arsenal
