After an emotionally tough weekend in Belgium, Formula One heads to Monza for the first of an Italian double header as Ferrari look to bounce back on home soil.
Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton meanwhile holds a comfortable championship lead over Max Verstappen of Red Bull whilst across in the constructor battle, there is a four-way fight between McLaren, Racing Point, Ferrari and Renault with all four teams split by just nine points.

Three Key Pointers
- Straight-line speed is a crucial characteristic of Monza which will suit Mercedes, Honda and Renault powered teams more than the Ferrari powered trio of Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and Haas.
- Ferrari face a tough weekend with Q1 elimination a real possibility unless they can find more speed than is currently present in their car, especially given that Monza is all about having speed throughout every lap.
- Hot temperatures are forecast throughout the weekend even though rain showers are forecast on race day, which could be Racing Point’s Achilles heel if their wet tyre struggles continue from Styrian GP Qualifying in July.
