Middlesbrough face a tough test of their survival credentials as they welcome QPR to the Riverside Stadium in a crunch Sky Bet Championship clash.
A win would move Boro out of the relegation zone although a point would do if Hull lose at West Bromwich Albion, whereas QPR can go 13th with victory and move nine points clear of relegation.

Middlesbrough have no fresh injury concerns with a full squad available for selection.
QPR also have no fresh injury concerns with a full squad available for selection.
- Middlesbrough are unbeaten in six of their last seven meetings against QPR (W5, D1, L1).
- QPR have lost each of their last three trips to the Riverside Stadium.
- Boro have scored in each of their last eight clashes against QPR.
After Thursday’s late defeat at Hull, Middlesbrough simply have to put that out of their mind and focus on the task in hand because QPR currently look safe but a home win will drag the Hoops right into the relegation mix.
I therefore am expecting a tough game because QPR have been unlucky to taste defeat in their three games since the restart, so I expect them to come out fighting and if they get that first goal then I just can’t see Boro winning this.
Prediction: Middlesbrough 1-1 QPR
Result: Middlesbrough 0-1 QPR
