Liverpool’s trip to Chelsea in the Fifth Round of this season’s FA Cup is one of four matches picked for live TV coverage.
Having edged past Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday in their Fourth Round replay, Liverpool’s clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge will be broadcast on BBC One on Tuesday 3 March with a 7:45pm kick off.
Manchester City’s trip to Sheffield Wednesday has also been selected for live free-to-air coverage on BBC One, taking place the following night on Wednesday 4 March.
BBC will also air highlights from other matches taking place on those nights.
BT Sport meanwhile have opted for Arsenal’s trip to Portsmouth which will be played on Monday 2 March with a 7:45pm start, as the opening match of this round.
Portsmouth therefore have brought their League One clash against Rochdale at Fratton Park forward from Saturday 29 February (3:00pm) to Friday 28 February (7:45pm), giving them a three day gap ahead of this fixture whilst Arsenal aren’t in domestic league action that weekend.
Wayne Rooney’s Derby will round off the selection of live games as they welcome Manchester United to Pride Park on Thursday 5 March, also commencing at 7:45pm.
There will be no replays from this round onwards so in event that scores are level after full-time whistle, extra time and penalties will follow.
The Quarter-Final draw will be held on Wednesday 5 March after the conclusion of Sheffield Wednesday’s match against Man City at Hillsborough.
