2019-20 Premier League: West Ham United vs Liverpool

West Ham United welcome Liverpool to the London Stadium as the Reds look to take a huge step towards a first Premier League title.

West Ham can climb two positions to 15th with victory whilst Liverpool can move 19 points clear of Manchester City at the summit with a win.

Lukasz Fabianski is in contention to start for West Ham if he can pass a late fitness test on a hip injury, having only returned from a similar problem at the end of 2019 before suffering a slight recurrence a few weeks ago.

Arthur Masuaku (knee) could also feature but Felipe Anderson (ribs), Ryan Fredericks (hamstring), Andriy Yarmolenko (thigh), Jack Wilshire (groin) and Robert Snodgrass (knee) remain absent for the Hammers.

Liverpool could welcome Xherdan Shaqiri back from a calf injury which had sidelined him in recent weeks.

Adam Lallana (illness) is also expected to feature but James Milner and Sadio Mane are still out with muscle injuries.

Prediction

West Ham were just lethargic against West Brom on Saturday defensively so are going to have to improve here, especially with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino returning to Liverpool’s starting eleven after being rested on Sunday.

I therefore am expecting nothing more other than a routine Liverpool win because the Hammers need to target Saturday’s clash against Brighton more than this game, in terms of their survival hopes.

Prediction: West Ham United 0-2 Liverpool

Result: West Ham United 0-2 Liverpool
