2019-20 Premier League: Week 24 – Tottenham Hotspur vs Norwich

Norwich City look to make it two consecutive wins on the bounce as they visit Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham could temporarily climb to sixth with a win whilst rock-bottom Norwich need victory if they’re to realistically keep sight of their relegation rivals above.

Tanguy Ndombele is set to be available for Tottenham after missing recent games with a groin injury.

Danny Rose is also set to be available after missing Spurs’ last two matches with a back injury.

Hugo Lloris (elbow) and Ben Davies (ankle) are close to returning but won’t be risked in this game, whilst Harry Kane (hamstring) and Moussa Sissoko (knee) both remain ruled out.

Norwich will be without Ben Godfrey as he begins a three match ban after being sent off against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Emiliano Buendia (quadriceps) and Mario Vrancic (shin) are out for the Canaries’ next two games, whilst Ralf Fahrmann and Timm Klose are out with knee injuries.

Prediction

Tottenham were very disappointing on Saturday which has to be a worry given their fixture load, whereas Norwich were up for it against Bournemouth with plenty of fast paced attacks that the Cherries struggled to cope with.

More of the same here then I would be tempted to go for a Norwich win but both teams are likely to rotate their lineups, so I can see Spurs somehow going for it here if they start like they did against Middlesbrough last week.

I therefore am going for a home win because Norwich will be tough to beat going forward but their defence is even worse than Boro, so should be another tight win if Spurs are clinical enough.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Norwich City

Result: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Norwich City
