Nottingham Forest welcome relegation battling Luton Town to the City Ground in Sunday’s big Sky Bet Championship clash.
Forest can return to fifth with at least a point whilst Luton can demote Wigan to rock-bottom if they take victory.
Team news
Embed from Getty ImagesNottingham Forest have no fresh injury concerns to report ahead of this match, as Carl Jenkinson continues to slowly return from a lengthy ankle injury.
Michael Hefele (knee) is also available but Tendayi Darikwa (ACL) is still ruled out.
Luton will hand Izzy Brown and Martin Cranie late fitness tests after the pair recently missed games with respective knocks.
Dan Potts (groin) could also feature but Danny Hylton and Brendan Galloway both remain ruled out with knee injuries.
Form
Forest enter this match unbeaten in their last four league games (W3, D1), but have kept just one clean sheet in their last five at home (W2, D1, L2).
Luton arrive in Nottingham with just one point from their last seven league games (D1, L6), whilst earning just six points from 13 away league trips so far (W2, L11).
Stat Attack
- Nottingham Forest have lost two of their last five meetings against Luton in all competitions (W3, L2).
- Luton have taken just five points from their last 11 league trips to the City Ground (D5, L6).
- Two of Forest’s last five home league goals have come in the first-half.
Prediction
Given the huge contrast in form, it’s hard to see past Forest securing a comfortable home win, but Sunday Lunchtime games in the Championship this season have had a habit of producing surprising results in contrast to the form book.
Luton therefore should give a decent account of themselves but I sadly can’t see them getting anything here, apart from a goal if they’re lucky given the contrast in quality.
Prediction: Nottingham Forest 2-0 Luton Town
Result: Nottingham Forest 3-1 Luton Town
