2018-19 Premier League: Week 35 – Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Wolverhampton Wanderers welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Molineux for a huge Premier League clash, which could have ratifications at both ends of the table.

A home win will see Wolves’ hopes of seventh stay alive whereas Brighton need a win here to move five points clear of the drop before Cardiff host Liverpool on Sunday.

Wolves have no fresh injury concerns with a full squad available for a second consecutive league game.

Brighton will be without Anthony Knockaert as he serves the last of a two match ban, whilst Jason Steele remains sidelined with a wrist injury.

Form

Wolves suffered back to back defeats for the first time since late November in all competitions, but have taken seven points from their last five league games.

At home, Wolves are unbeaten in their last five with four wins and a draw plus five goals from Jota during this run.

Brighton are without a victory in their last five across all competitions and failed to score in any of those games.

On their travels. the Seagulls have been involved in three sets of 2-1 results from their last five away games but won just one of those matches.

Prediction

After five straight defeats, Brighton really need a win here to boost their confidence but Wolves will be looking to get back on track at home after a difficult fortnight.

This is therefore is probably a good time for Brighton to visit Molineux but I can see Wolves sort of inflicting a Bournemouth on them, if are allowed time and space to play their high pressing game.

Prediction: Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 Brighton & Hove Albion

Jake predicts: Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 Brighton & Hove Albion

Result: Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-0 Brighton & Hove Albion
