After a thrilling 2-2 draw with Gateshead, Hartlepool United manager – Craig Harrison reflects on the day’s events and its impact on the club’s target.

Discussing the match, Harrison felt that the team were slightly lucky, saying; “Yeah possibly but you can only say that to a certain extent. We had four or five crosses put in the box but ball or bodies not there.”

When later asked whether the draw affects the club’s promotion target, the former New Saints manager wasn’t worried and said; “No, not at all. We need to be realistic. We need to be ambitious.

The league changes rapidly and with a couple of wins, we could be right back in the frame.”

Hartlepool’s injury list is bit of a concern but Harrison is unfazed but described it as “frustrating but just need to keep working hard on the training ground”

Returning centre back, Keith Watson netted a brace on his return from injury and was pleased to be back in the team, saying; “Cool to be back in team. Four months out and to be back in amongst goals too is fantastic.”
