Everton travel to Slovakia to face MFK Ruzomberok with a slender 1-0 advantage from the first leg of this Europa League third qualifying round.
Everton’s last away trip in Europe saw them get demolished 5-2 by Dynamo Kiev in Ukraine, after gaining a slender first leg win. Could history repeat itself here?
Ruzomberok is expected to name an unchanged side for the match.
Jordan Pickford will start the match in goal but expect to see Sandro Ramirez come in and replace Wayne Rooney.
Yannick Bolasie, Seamus Coleman and Ross Barkley are all out of this leg. The first two are still recuperating from injuries but Barkley is out of favour and expected to depart this month.
Time to deliver
Everton last week played with definite intent to attack but were met with a strong wall of resistance from the Slovakian outfit.
With the new Premier League season drawing near, this is the time for Toffee players to start delivering if want a start against Stoke City.
Ramirez will be one to watch in this match, if can pick up where he left the action from last week because he was excellent to watch going forwards.
This tie is still in the balance so Everton need to be wary of Ruzomberok breaking on counter. I however expect the Toffees to get the win comfortably with Ramirez being the biggest problem for the opposition.
Prediction: MFK Ruzomberok 1-2 Everton
Result: MFK Ruzomberok 0-1 Everton (Everton win 2-0 on aggregate)
