2026-27 Premier League: Week 10 – Brighton vs Brentford

Brighton & Hove Albion face a difficult test against Brentford in a massive Premier League fixture.

Victory will see Brighton stay in the top three, whilst Brentford can go fourth with a win if Chelsea and Liverpool both lose elsewhere.

Team News

Chema Andres is a doubt for Brighton after he missed their 1-0 UEFA Conference League win at Getafe due to a minor hip injury.

Ferdi Kadioglu (hip), Pascal Struijk (thigh) and Femi Azeez (hamstring) face late fitness tests, although only Kadioglu is likely to make the teamsheet.

Zadok Yohanna (unspecified), Stefanos Tzimas (knee), Kaoru Mitoma (hamstring) and Evan Ferguson (ankle) remain absent.

Brentford will welcome midfielder, Yehor Yarmoliuk back from his three-match suspension.

Rico Henry (hip/quad), Josh Dasilva (hamstring), Fabio Carvalho, Antoni Milambo (both knock) and Kaye Furo (metatarsal) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Brighton host Brentford at the AMEX Stadium on Sunday 7 November at 2pm BST, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.

Prediction

Having clinically edged past Getafe with patience and a crucial slice of quality finishing, Brighton now need to bring their A game because this isn’t going to be an easy game given that both teams are harbouring high ambitions this season.

Brentford meanwhile had a difficult October but they at least ended the month on a positive note with a clinical win over Nottingham Forest despite having been comfortably outplayed, which will give them belief and they have had a week to fully prepare unlike Brighton.

Although I expect Brighton to still put up a strong fight, I just feel that Brentford will have the edge if fitness comes into play late into the match.

Prediction: Brighton 1-2 Brentford
