2026-27 UEFA Champions League: League Phase – RB Leipzig vs Man City

RB Leipzig face Manchester City in a league phase encounter in the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League.

Victory would lift RB Leipzig into the knockout play-off positions, whilst Man City can climb into the top eight with a win depending on results elsewhere.

Team News

Maxime Esteve is a doubt for RB Leipzig after he missed their last three matches due to a knock.

Marc Guiu (muscle) and Assan Ouedraogo (shoulder) are ruled out.

Man City have no fresh injury concerns to report after their 1-0 loss to Brighton in the Premier League.

Antoine Semenyo remains sidelined with a knee injury.

When is Kick-Off?

RB Leipzig host Man City at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday 4 November at 9pm CEST (8pm BST), live on TNT Sports 2 in the UK.

Prediction

Despite suffering two heavy away defeats on the road so far in the league phase, RB Leipzig did beat PSV Eindhoven in their first home game and are coming into this match off the back of three consecutive wins which will give them a confidence boost.

Man City meanwhile have lost their way across that same three game period with two league defeats and scraped past Brighton in the Carabao Cup on penalties – having twice come from behind, so they really have work to do defensively after a wasteful league defeat to Brighton on Saturday.

RB Leipzig though hasn’t exactly been the easiest trip for City despite their solid form against them and on current form, I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends in a draw.

Prediction: RB Leipzig 1-1 Man City
