2026-27 UEFA Champions League: League Phase – Fenerbahce vs Liverpool

Fenerbahce face a tricky league phase encounter against Liverpool in the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League.

Victory would lift Fenerbahce into the knockout play-off spots, whilst Liverpool can potentially go top with a win.

Team News

Archie Brown is available for Fenerbahce after he was suspended for their 2-1 loss to Goztepe in Turkish Super Lig.

Mason Greenwood is a doubt due to illness.

Jayden Oosterwolde (Achilles), Kojo Peprah Oppong (muscle), Nathan Ake (hamstring) and Marco Asensio (knee) are ruled out.

Liverpool have no fresh injury concerns to report after their 1-0 Premier League loss at home to Arsenal, although Ryan Gravenberch hasn’t travelled after he was an unused substitute in that match due to a heel injury suffered prior to the clash.

Jeremie Frimpong (muscle), Giovanni Leoni (ACL), Conor Bradley (knee) and Hugo Ekitike (Achilles) remain absent.

Federico Chiesa and Wataru Endo are ineligible.

When is Kick-Off?

Fenerbahce host Liverpool at Sukru Saracoglu on Wednesday 4 November at 8:45pm TRT (5:45pm GMT), live on TNT Sports 2 in the UK.

Prediction

Without a win in their first three league phase games, Fenerbahce know that this is now realistically a must win if they want any chance of a top-eight spot come January but they need to be defensively tighter and more clinical here if want the win.

Liverpool meanwhile were just outplayed by a disciplined Arsenal defence despite having the stronger attacking spells in their clash, but I do think that they’re starting to click more and patience will be key although I do think that they’re capable of winning this with their quality.

Fenerbahce will provide a tough test with their attacking quality but if Liverpool can target their vulnerable defence with more intensity and sharpness in their movement, I fancy the Reds to get a solid win here.

Prediction: Fenerbahce 1-2 Liverpool
