2026-27 Sky Bet League One: Week 12 – Bromley vs Leicester

Bromley face Leicester in a mouth-watering Sky Bet League One encounter in South-East London.

Victory would lift Bromley out of the relegation zone and as high as 17th depending on results elsewhere, whilst Leicester can climb as high as ninth with a win.

Team News

Bromley have no fresh injury or suspension concerns to report after their 1-0 defeat at Stockport County.

Shamal George (muscle), Richard Taylor (hamstring), Deon Woodman (unspecified) and Ashley Charles (cruciate) remain absent.

Leicester have no fresh injury concerns to report after their 2-1 win over Doncaster Rovers.

Will Smallbone (fitness) and Christian McFarlane (knock) could return but Jayden Joseph (hamstring), Ben Nelson and Jakub Stolarczyk (both ACL) remain ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Bromley host Leicester at the CopperJax Community Stadium on Tuesday 20 October at 7:45pm BST, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.

Prediction

Given that Bromley could of easily been in for a battering at Stockport on Saturday, they actually showed defensive progress to lose by just one goal and limited the Hatters very well, yet that came at the expense of attacking quality with none of four total shots converted onto target.

I now would like to see them find a way to build on that defensive improvement but pair it with more attacking grit but this season is a marathon of learning though, but they ideally need to put more wins on the board just to keep pace with those around them soon.

Leicester meanwhile mixed it up tactically with more direct play to clinically beat Doncaster and with the quality players they currently have, there has to be a point when they start clicking and this might just be that time if they can build on that display.

Bromley fans though will remember the ‘Miracle at Doncaster’ on a Tuesday evening just two years ago, and hopefully the players who are still at the club from that night can use it as motivation for the whole team to spring a shock.

I however do think that a draw could be on the cards given the inconsistency of both teams if Bromley continue to keep improving.

Prediction: Bromley 1-1 Leicester
