Red Bull have announced that Isack Hadjar will return to action at the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Hadjar had missed the last three rounds after he suffered a wrist injury during the summer break, with his seat filled by Liam Lawson, whilst Lawson’s seat at Racing Bulls was occupied by Yuki Tsunoda.
Hadjar’s return means that Lawson will return to his Racing Bulls seat and Tsunoda revert back to his reserve driver duties.
In a statement, Red Bull expressed their joy at Hadjar’s return and paid tribute to Lawson for his efforts in the last three rounds.
“Oracle Red Bull Racing is delighted to welcome Isack back this weekend. Having made a successful recovery from his wrist injury, Isack will return to action at the Baku City Circuit on Thursday.
“The team would like to sincerely thank Liam for his professionalism, dedication and hard work over the past three races. Stepping in under challenging circumstances, he delivered some impressive performances and made a valuable contribution to the Team. We wish him all the very best as he returns to Visa Cash App Racing Bulls.”
