Bromley have signed defender, Adam Jackson on a free transfer.
Jackson’s move to the Ravens comes just weeks after he left Lincoln City via mutual consent in early September, having made 14 appearances last season as the Imps secured promotion to the Championship as League One champions.
The 32-year-old centre-back also made just one appearance this season for the Imps as they beat Blackpool 4-1 in the second round of the Carabao Cup, which marked his final appearance for the club, as he left after having scored five goals in 179 appearances across six years at Sincil Bank.
Explaining his decision to join Bromley, Jackson explained that seeing the club’s journey under manager – Andy Woodman was a big factor in persuading him to make the move down to South-East London.
“The projection from where the club has been to where they are now and where they want to go is what appealed most to me. I spoke with the Gaffer and everything is going in the right direction and I want to be part of that.”
He also praised the facilities with Bromley’s training pitch located behind the stadium pitch as he continued: “I’m really impressed with what I’ve seen so far.
“It’s really good to have everything in one place especially with the training ground around the back. The stadium pitch looks amazing too.”
Born in Darlington, Jackson began his career with Middlesbrough but failed to break through into the senior squad amidst loans at FC Halifax Town, Coventry and Hartlepool United, before he moved to Barnsley in 2016 and managed one goal in 44 appearances across three years.
He then spent the 2019-20 season in Edinburgh, Scotland, at Hibernian where he scored four goals in 22 appearances and helped Hibs reach the semi-finals of Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup.
Jackson will wear the number 45 shirt this season.
