Bromley have drawn Reading in a blockbuster Third Qualifying Round tie in the 2026-27 Women’s FA Cup.
Dean Davenport’s Ravens are still unbeaten in all competitions after their 3-2 comeback victory over Sutton United at home in the Second Qualifying Round, and have now been rewarded with a blockbuster home tie against former Women’s Super League club – Reading.
The Royals are now prying their trade in the Southern Region Women’s Football League at the Premier Division level, and beat Beaconsfield Town 4-1 at home in their Second Qualifying Round tie.
The tie is scheduled to be played on weekend of 3-4 October 2026 with further fixture details to be announced in due course.
In Bromley’s tie against Sutton yesterday (20 September), Chana Hinds cancelled out Sutton’s Naomi Bradley’s goal before Beth Hull put the Ravens in front until Emma Spear restored parity, yet Charlotte Lee crucially snatched a late winner for Bromley in the 92nd minute.
The result meant that Bromley recorded a second successive victory over Sutton in the space of a week, having initially beaten them 2-1 in a controversial league clash in the London & South East Regional Women’s Football League’s Premier Division on 13 September.
The tie against Reading also marks the second time that a Bromley team have drawn the Royals in all cup competitions this season, after the Men’s First-Team exited the Carabao Cup against them on penalties in the first round in August after a 1-1 draw.
