2026-27 Sky Bet League Two: Week Seven – Barnet vs Fleetwood

League Two leaders, Barnet host Fleetwood Town in a huge encounter in the race for promotion.

Victory would see Barnet stay top unless second-placed Bristol Rovers win at Gillingham with a three-goal swing at minimum.

Fleetwood meanwhile can go top with a win if results elsewhere dramatically swing in their favour elsewhere.

Team News

Barnet have no fresh injury concerns to report after their 2-1 comeback win over Accrington Stanley.

Nikola Tavares is expected to remain absent as he continues to recover from a knock which kept him out of their last three matches.

Fleetwood have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 1-0 Carabao Cup victory against Sheffield United.

Kane Thompson-Sommers remains sidelined with an unspecified injury.

When is Kick-Off?

Barnet host Fleetwood at The Hive on Saturday 19 September at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

Still yet to taste a league defeat this season, Barnet have at least been consistent with three wins and draws apiece and can take heart from their comeback against Accrington Stanley, even if patience was required in the end product after a wasteful first half.

Fleetwood meanwhile clinically beat Sheffield Utd in an impressively tight cup display and are still yet to lose in the league this season, although they do have a habit of grinding out their results which is a good quality to have if want to challenge for promotion but they now need to put consistent wins together.

I however do think that this clash is finely poised to be a tight game and if there is a winner – my reckoning is that it will be Barnet who have had a full week to prepare for this clash, but my instinct is that this could well end in a point apiece.

Prediction: Barnet 1-1 Fleetwood
