2026-27 Premier League: Week Four – Tottenham vs Everton

Tottenham chase a first Premier League win of the season in a tough test against Everton.

Victory would lift Tottenham out of the relegation zone, whilst Everton can move as high as third with a win if results elsewhere go in their favour.

Team News

Mykhailo Mudryk is ruled out for Tottenham after he suffered an ankle injury in training, which has sidelined him until November.

James Maddison (shoulder) faces a late fitness test but Dejan Kulusevski (knee), Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons (both ACL) remain sidelined.

Everton could have midfielder, James Garner available after he suffered cramp during their 2-2 draw at home to Manchester United.

Christian Norgaard is still ruled out with an unspecified injury.

When is Kick-Off?

Tottenham host Everton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 12 September at 5:30pm BST, live on Sky Sports Main Event and Premier League in the UK.

Prediction

With no goals from their first three league matches and not even one shot on target in their 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest, this is now pretty much a must-win for Tottenham given their home form against Everton otherwise questions need to be asked quickly given their summer spending spree.

Everton meanwhile have scored in every game so far this season across league and Carabao Cup so there is definitely confidence in their goalscoring ability, whilst they deserve credit for not giving up against a stubborn Man Utd with two late equalisers.

David Moyes’ Toffees also will be aware that the pressure is on Tottenham but if they stick to their gameplan and soak up Spurs’ intensity with solid defending, I can see them getting a point out of this if not snatching a smash-and-grab winner.

Prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Everton

Result: Tottenham 0-0 Everton
