2026-27 Premier League: Week Four – Crystal Palace vs Ipswich

Crystal Palace face Ipswich in a Premier League clash as both teams look for a second league win of the season.

Victory would lift Palace into the top ten if results elsewhere go in their favour, whilst Ipswich likewise could climb into the top ten with a win.

Cheick Doucoure is available for Palace after illness kept him out of their 3-0 Carabao Cup victory over Middlesbrough in midweek.

Eddie Nketiah sat out that match with an unspecified minor injury but could feature if he passes a late fitness test.

Jean-Philippe Mateta (hamstring), Ismaila Sarr (groin) and Chadi Riad (knee) are still absent.

Ipswich have no fresh injury concerns after their 2-0 league loss to Liverpool last weekend.

Jaden Philogene (hamstring) and Azor Matusiwa (muscle) could be fit for selection but Jack Taylor (knee) remains absent.

Prediction

Having found their winning groove in their last two games in all competitions after bit of a bogey start, Palace now have a great chance of building momentum if they can keep building on the clinical positives and especially after their first clean sheet of the season against Boro.

Ipswich meanwhile were immediately outclassed in the opening phases of their defeat to Liverpool but to their credit, they didn’t just defensively roll over yet they lacked the clinical edge when on top to at least claw one goal back so this is a chance to reset.

Palace however have found some form this past week and I expect them to continue that here but Ipswich should run them close if their defensive issues resurface.
