Bromley have signed winger, Jodi Jones from fellow newly-promoted League One rival, Notts County for an undisclosed transfer fee.

Bromley’s shock move for the 28-year-old comes after Jones enjoyed a successful 2025-26 season at County with 16 goal involvements in 42 appearances; which consisted of 10 goals and six assists.

His final appearance for the Magpies underlined his qualities as he set up Alassana Jatta’s opener in their eventual 3-0 League Two Play-Off Final victory over Salford City in late May, before he wrapped up the contest with their third goal in the 70th minute to secure promotion to League One.

That achievement marked his second promotion with County after he helped them achieve promotion back into the EFL via the National League Play-Offs in 2023, albeit whilst on loan from Oxford United before he signed permanently that summer.

Jones’ move means that he has left the Magpies after three-and-a-half years having produced 22 goals and 34 assists in 129 appearances combined across all competitions.

Jones began his career with Arsenal then West Ham at youth level before he moved to Dagenham & Redbridge, where he graduated through their academy into the senior team and scored four goals in 40 appearances.

He went on to enjoy a positive emergency loan spell at Coventry in spring 2016 in which he made six appearances, which led to a permanent transfer that summer and he proceeded to produce eight goals in 97 appearances across five seasons – having sat out the 2020-21 season with an then-third ACL injury.

During his time at Coventry, Jones helped the club win promotion from League Two to League One in 2017-18 season, before they repeated that feat two seasons later to move up to the Championship.

Jones subsequently joined Oxford Utd in summer 2022 but managed just eight appearances before he was loaned to Notts County in the second half of the 2022-23 season, which saw him score one goal in 18 appearances – which was a defining 120th-minute winner against Boreham Wood in a 3-2 play-off semi-final victory.
