Bournemouth, Palace and Sunderland Discover League Phase Opposition in 2026-27 Europa League

Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Sunderland have discovered their League Phase opposition in the 2026-27 UEFA Europa League. 

Marco Rose’s Cherries are making their European bow and have been handed a decent set of home fixtures which include a marquee tie against AC Milan, whilst Viktoria Plzen, Sturm Graz and Hapoel Be’er Sheva will too visit the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth face two Spanish trips amongst their four away fixtures as they visit Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo plus Czech Republic’s Sparta Prague and Norway’s Lillestrom.

Last season’s UEFA Conference League champions, Palace will meanwhile play host to Real Sociedad and Sparta Prague amongst their four home games, with Poland’s Lech Poznan and Germany’s Hoffenheim also visiting Selhurst Park.

Palace will visit Lyon, RB Salzburg, Jagiellonia Bialystok and Besiktas in their four away trips.

Sunderland are back in European competition after a 53-year absence and will welcome AZ Alkmaar, Dinamo Zagreb, Jagiellonia Bialystok and Levski Sofia to the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats though will face a marquee trip to the San Siro to face AC Milan, and will also travel to Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb, Poland’s Lech Poznan and Portugal’s Torrense.

Elsewhere, Celtic take on Marseille, Ferencvaros, Celta Vigo and Besiktas at Celtic Park, and face away trips to Benfica, USG, Omonia and Torrense.

League Phase fixtures will commence across 16-17 September then continue on Thursday evenings across 15 & 22 October, 5 & 26 November, 10 December plus 21 and 28 January respectively, although some fixtures will be moved to other days if any scheduling conflicts except for the final round on 28 January.
