Defender, Jayden Bogle has signed a new four-year contract at Leeds United until June 2030.

Since his move from Yorkshire rivals, Leeds United in July 2024, Bogle has scored eight goals in 84 total appearances for Daniel Farke’s Whites as they were promoted to the Premier League as 2024-25 Championship champions, then reached the FA Cup semi-finals last season.

The club this summer decided to reward Bogle with a fresh four-year contract until June 2030 which he felt “was an easy” decision to sign as he spoke to LUTV about his decision to extend his stay at Elland Road.

“A lot of different emotions. Proud – I had a bit of time to reflect on how the journey has gone so far. It has been special. Something that you dream of when you are a kid is playing in an atmosphere like this, competing in the best league in the world. So far, it has been amazing.”

Bogle added that the winning mentality of the club is another reason behind his decision to stay with ambition to return to their historic heights of the past.

“I think I said when I first signed, you can feel the winning feeling around the place and how much the club wants to achieve. This club has been in special places in the past and I think everyone has got the ambition to get back to there.

“I think you can feel the vibe around the place. Everyone is really excited. The fans, the players, the staff, everyone associated with the club can feel there is a good vibe around the place. The ambition from the club feeds all the way through to the players, to the staff and the fans. So, I think everyone is on the right path and it is something I really wanted to be a part of.

“There are so many elements that contribute into you making a decision. Are you happy? Are you enjoying where you are? I am. My family love it here. Again, the atmosphere that this place brings and the vibes around the place is amazing. You want to be assured that the club is at the same level of ambition that you have.”

Leeds have been busy this summer in the transfer market with Harry Wilson and James Trafford amongst their signings, and Bogle feels that the pressure to deliver on that investment as a team this season will only motivate the squad.

“I think it is good pressure. I think you need that pressure to go on and be successful but not get too carried away as well. We obviously know it is a very tough league and we need to approach every game in the right way. That starts from now.

“We have got a fantastic group and a fantastic changing room. You can see when we go out onto the pitch, how everyone is willing to fight for each other and everyone has got each other’s backs. In the changing room, at the right times, there is laughing and jokes as well. So, I think we have got a great balance.”
