Bromley FC Women have signed defender, Chana Hinds on a free transfer.
Hinds’ move brings experience to Bromley’s defence following spells at Charlton Athletic, Dulwich Hamlet and Dartford, before she left the latter to become a mother and is now making her return to the sport after she missed last season to focus on parent hood.
Speaking about her move to Bromley to the club website, Hinds explained that she was attracted by the Ravens’ ambitions as they step up into the London & South East Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division.
“I’m really excited to join Bromley Women. It’s an ambitious club with a talented group of girls and management.
“After becoming a mum, I’m incredibly proud to be back on the pitch and I’m excited for the opportunity to be a part of this team. I can’t wait to get started, work hard, develop and contribute to the team’s ambitions.”
Bromley Women’s Manager, Dean Davenport added: “Chana is an experienced, no-nonsense defender who arrives at Hayes Lane having played at Dulwich Hamlet and Dartford respectively.
“She will add a wealth of experience both on and off the pitch. She’s competitive and commanding in the air, while also bringing plenty of pace to our back line.”
Hinds is Bromley’s third signing after Jacey Lane and Latifa Mammeri joined the club earlier this week.
Forward, Lane has joined from fourth-tier’s Ascot United where she made 25 appearances last season as a centre forward and winger, and already found the net for Bromley in pre-season with a hat-trick in a friendly against Saltdean United.
The 19-year-old is now “excited” to officially join Bromley and help them achieve their ambitions.
“I’m really excited to be joining Bromley and to be a part of the club. The environment and ambitions of the team really stood out to me and I can’t wait to get involved and get started!”
Davenport added that Lane’s expertise will be beneficial given that she has already found the net for the Ravens in pre-season.
“Jacey comes to Bromley with experience playing in Tier 4 last season. She’s an exciting player with plenty of pace, trickery and an eye for goal, already opening her account in the pre-season friendlies, most notably with a hat-trick against Saltdean in her first outing with Bromley Women.”
Mammeri has also arrived with fourth-tier experience from her time at Wycombe Wanderers, although she previously spent time at Haringey Borough and West Ham in their academy at Under-18s level.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder like Lane and Hinds spoke of the club’s ambition as being the main lure and is eager to be part of the club’s future.
“Ever since I first came down, I’ve really admired the professionalism and ambition of the club. The girls are lovely and it seems like a very aspirational club. I’m really excited to be part of it.”
Davenport added that Mammeri brings technicality and passing ability with the versatility of dropping into a deeper holding midfield position if required.
“Latifa arrives at Bromley Women having played for Wycombe Wanderers in Tier 4. She is an elegant midfielder who is technically astute on the ball and has a fantastic passing range. She can play both as an attacking midfielder or as a holding midfielder and is a fantastic addition to an already capable midfield unit.”
Bromley Women now begin their 2026-27 league campaign at home to Worthing on Sunday 16 August at 2pm BST, at the FXD Capital Football Campus, which is located at the CopperJax Stadium behind the main pitch and more commonly known as pitch four prior to a sponsorship deal with FXD Capital.
