Bromley have signed goalkeeper, Owen Mason from Mansfield Town for an undisclosed transfer fee.
Mason’s move came after five years at Mansfield where he made only five appearances but with Liam Roberts and Harry Lewis established as the first and second-choice goalkeepers, manager – Nigel Clough decided to move the 22-year-old on in order to give him a chance at regular game time.
“We’re very happy with Liam and Harry as our number one and two goalkeepers, respectively, and with Owen now at 22-years-old he needs to play some games.
“Owen’s experienced a few different loans and this is a good opportunity which has arisen for him.
“We thank Owen for his efforts and wish him well in his future career.”
Mason graduated through Mansfield’s Academy and has gained senior experience through loans at Guiseley, Farsley Celtic, Kettering Town, Wexford and Ilkeston Town, before he spent the middle half of the 2024-25 season at Gateshead.
He however was recalled in February 2025 and made his Stags debut in a 4-2 home victory over Peterborough in League One in their penultimate match of the season, which was followed by four cup appearances last season.
This season saw Mason feature for Gillingham on an emergency loan in their Carabao Cup first-round loss to Luton by a 3-0 result at Priestfield last weekend.
Mason has been handed the number 31 shirt for this season.
