Hull City have signed wing-back, Elliot Stroud from Mjallby for an undisclosed transfer fee.

Stroud’s arrival at the MKM Stadium comes after three-and-a-half years at Mjallby where he scored 23 goals in 98 appearances, with the 24-year-old having signed a four-year contract on Humberside until June 2030 with an option to extend for a further year.

Speaking to Hull’s website after completing his transfer for an undisclosed fee, Stroud revealed that he is happy to start a new challenge with the newly-promoted Tigers after Hull won last season’s Championship Play-Off Final.

“I am super happy and super excited to get started here. When I first heard of the interest, it was the only thing I wanted to do.

“I spoke with the Chairman and I got an even better impression of the club and everything around it.

“I have individual hopes to play at the highest level possible. When an opportunity like this comes, it’s not something you take lightly. To do it here in Hull is a very exciting opportunity.

“I had a fantastic time at Mjällby. We had an amazing run, won the cup, the league. I felt I was ready for the next chapter and I’m really looking forward to making some statements here as well.”

Stroud represents Sweden at international level and received his first senior call-up in March 2026, but didn’t make his debut until June when he came on as a substitute in a 2-2 warm-up friendly draw against Greece ahead of the FIFA World Cup, where he featured in all five of the Swedes’ matches.

“The World Cup was an amazing experience. To represent your country in a World Cup is the biggest honour you can have as a player. To play for the Sweden national team is something I am very proud of.

“It was a dream of mine to play in the Premier League. I am super excited to get this opportunity and hopefully create something magical this season.”

Stroud began his career at IK Oddevoid where he registered 17 goals in 74 appearances between 2019-22.
