Club Brugge have signed midfielder, Freddie Potts from West Ham United for £10m.
Potts’ move comes after he enjoyed a breakthrough 2024-25 season with 25 appearances in all competitions, despite the Hammers suffering relegation from the Premier League to Championship.
Club Brugge consequently swooped for the 22-year-old who has signed a four-year contract until 2030 and will wear the number 30 shirt.
In a club statement confirming Potts’ move, West Ham thanked him for his services to the team and wished him well for his future.

Potts began his career in West Ham’s Academy and graduated through the youth levels before he made his senior debut as a substitute for Andriy Yarmolenko in a 1-0 home loss to Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Europa League in December 2021.
He went on to make two appearances in the 2022-23 season and was part of their UEFA Conference League title-winning squad.
Potts then spent the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Wycombe Wanderers, where he scored twice in 42 appearances for the Chairboys who finished runners-up in the EFL Trophy that season.
2024-25 season saw Potts step up to the Championship in another loan as he joined Portsmouth and scored one goal in 38 appearances, as Pompey secured survival with an improved second-half of the campaign.
