Hungary midfielder, Dominik Szoboszlai has signed a new five-year contract at Liverpool until June 2031.
Szoboszlai’s new contract comes amidst interest from Real Madrid after enjoying a successful three seasons at Anfield since his arrival in 2023, across which he produced 28 goals and 24 assists in 147 appearances across all competitions.
Szoboszlai also helped Liverpool achieve their second Premier League title in the 2024-25 season and is now set to play a key role under new manager, Andoni Iraola who has replaced Arne Slot this summer after the Dutchman was sacked after a lacklustre second season in charge.
“It’s maybe my biggest day,” quipped Szoboszlai to Liverpool’s official website on his new contract.
“There are a couple in front of it – probably when I signed for Liverpool the first one and when I got my baby, of course. But in my football career, I can say this is in the top three.
“Very happy. [I] can’t wait to go again and again and again. I’m just happy to be here, as I said many times.”
