Arsenal have signed defender, Ona Batlle on a free transfer from Barcelona.
Batlle’s arrival marks a return to English Football after she previously spent 2020-23 at Manchester United where she scored three goals in 77 appearances and finished runner-up in the Women’s FA Cup in her final season with the Red Devils.
She then went on to spend three seasons at Barcelona where she netted 14 goals in 114 appearances across all competitions, and claimed 11 titles;

“I’m very happy and excited to get going,” explained Batlle who is relishing playing at the Emirates Stadium with the Gunners and wearing the number 22 shirt.
“Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I can’t wait to feel the joy of playing in front of our supporters at Emirates Stadium alongside so many great players. I want to win trophies and I feel this is the right place to achieve that.”
Arsenal Women’s Head Coach, Renee Slegers added: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to bring Ona to the club. She’s a hugely experienced full-back with strong attacking intent and great physical attributes. She’s a winner and we want to go for more wins together.”
