EFL Confirm 2025-26 Play-Off Schedules

EFL have confirmed finalised fixture schedules for the 2025-26 Promotion Play-Offs across Championship, League One and League Two.

The Championship will kick off the play-offs stage with the first leg of Hull’s semi-final against Millwall at MKM Stadium on Friday 8 May at 20:00pm BST, after the Tigers snatched the final play-off spot from Wrexham on the final day whilst Millwall finished third and one point off Ipswich who go up automatically.

Millwall will host the second leg on Monday 11 May at 20:00pm as Alex Neil targets another promotion via the play-off path, having taken Norwich up in 2015 via this route.

Southampton will meet Middlesbrough in the other semi-final with the first leg held at Boro’s Riverside Stadium on Saturday 9 May at 12:30pm, before the second leg at St Mary’s Stadium takes place on Tuesday 12 May at 20:00pm.

League One’s Play-Offs commence with a first-leg double-header on Saturday 9 May as Stevenage host Stockport at Lamex Stadium in a 15:00pm kick-off, before the return leg at Edgeley Park takes place at 20:00pm on Wednesday 13 May.

Bolton meet Bradford in the second play-off semi-final in League One, with the Trotters at home in the first leg at Toughsheet Community Stadium on Saturday 9 May at 20:00pm.

The return leg at Valley Parade will take place on Thursday 14 May at 20:00pm.

League Two’s Play-Off semi-finals will take place as double headers across Sunday 10 and Friday 15 May.

Grimsby kick off the fourth tier’s play-off action at Blundell Park in the first leg of their against Salford on 10 May in a 15:00pm kick-off, before the Ammies host the second leg at Peninsula Stadium at 19:15pm on 15 May.

Chesterfield meanwhile will host Notts County at the SMH Group Stadium at 18:00pm on 10 May, before the pair meet in the second leg at Meadow Lane on 15 May at 20:00pm.

All play-off fixtures will be live on Sky Sports with kick-off timings for the Play-Off Finals at Wembley Stadium across 23-25 May yet to be confirmed.
