England defender, Leah Williamson has signed a new contract with Arsenal.
Williamson has spent her entire senior club career with Arsenal across which she has scored 17 goals in 282 appearances since her debut in March 2014, as a substitute in a 2-0 UEFA Women’s Champions League Quarter-Final home defeat to Birmingham City.
She has since gone on to win that competition with the Gunners last season, alongside the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup in February this year, plus four Women’s League Cups, two Women’s FA Cups and one Women’s Super League title totalling nine major title honours across her time with the North London club.
Williamson is also the current vice-captain for Arsenal and captain of England, of which she has scored five goals in 67 senior international caps and led them to consecutive UEFA Women’s Euro titles in 2022 & 25, alongside 2023 Women’s Finalissima, 2019 SheBelieves Cup and Arnold Clark Cup in 22 and 23.
