2025-26 Premier League: Week 33 – Crystal Palace vs West Ham

Crystal Palace continue their push for European qualification against relegation-battling West Ham in a huge Premier League encounter.

Victory would lift Palace up to 12th and above Fulham on goal difference, which would see just three points cover eight clubs from sixth to 13th positions.

West Ham will stay 17th irrespective of the result, but a win would move them four points clear of the relegation zone.

Team News

Adam Wharton is a major doubt for Palace after he suffered an adductor injury in their 2-1 defeat away to Fiorentina in the second leg of their UEFA Conference League Quarter-Final, although they progressed on aggregate.

Maxence Lacroix is ruled out after he suffered a knee injury in that match.

Evann Guessand, Cheick Doucoure (both knee) and Eddie Nketiah (hamstring) remain sidelined.

West Ham have no fresh injury concerns to report after their 4-0 victory over Wolves, with only Lukasz Fabianski sidelined due to a back injury.

When is Kick-Off?

Palace host West Ham at Selhurst Park on Monday 20 April at 8pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Prediction

Although they’re now in the UEFA Conference League semi-finals, Palace can’t rely on that route to qualify for Europe next season and realistically need to win here to give themselves a strong alternative route given how close the pack above them are at present.

West Ham though are coming into this game with renewed confidence after a clinical win over Wolves in which they bided their time initially, before they absolutely controlled the second half and this is their chance to put some daylight between themselves and the drop.

Nevertheless I expect this to be a tough scrap but if West Ham bring that same quality as they had last weekend at home, I fancy them to nick this.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-2 West Ham

Result: Crystal Palace 0-0 West Ham
