Manchester City look to boost their Premier League title ambitions against relegation-battling Nottingham Forest.
Victory could see Man City cut their title deficit to as little as two points if Arsenal lose at Brighton, whilst Forest can climb to 16th with a win.
Team News
Man City could be without Nico O’Reilly after he suffered an ankle injury in their 1-0 victory at Leeds, although he and Erling Haaland face late fitness tests after the latter missed that match due to a knock.
Max Alleyne (knock), Josko Gvardiol (leg) and Mateo Kovacic (foot) remain sidelined.
Forest have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 2-1 loss at Brighton last Sunday.
Stefan Ortega (calf), Willy Boly, Nicolo Savona, John Victor and Chris Wood (all knee) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Man City host Forest at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday 4 March at 7:30pm GMT, live on TNT Sports 4 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Man City have lost just one of their last eight league meetings against Forest (W5, D2, L1).
- Forest are yet to claim a Premier League victory at Man City (D3, L3)
- Man City have scored 11 goals in their last three league matches at home to Forest without conceding.
- Antoine Semenyo has scored in two of his three league appearances at home for Man City since his move from Bournemouth.
- Forest are winless in their last five league matches (D2, L3).
Prediction
Man City are slightly lucky that they had the clinical edge at Leeds in a game where both teams were definitely wasteful, yet it was City who crucially found the only goal of that match and they now should feel confident of keeping the pressure on Arsenal if can be just as clinical as they’re usually.
Forest meanwhile are fighting for their top-flight lives and arguably could of got a point at Brighton if had been more clinical especially when on top, because I really don’t see them getting anything here other than maybe one goal realistically on paper given their winless Premier League form at City.
Although Forest will one day end their away rut in this Premier League fixture, I really don’t see Man City slipping up here in what should be a routine home win.
Prediction: Man City 2-0 Forest
Result: Man City 2-2 Forest
